Scrapbook Boutique Blog Challenge

I have been wanting to enter challenge's over at The Scrapbook Boutiques Blog for ages now and finally I have whipped up this card using this months inspiration photo. I would of loved to have spent some more time on it but with all my Gallery Day duties I didn't have very long but I am happy with how it has turned out.

Ok well I had better go get back to my mile high list of duties or I will be up all night - see you tomorrow night with another lot of my goodies for Gallery Day x joy
p.s yes i did decorate the inside but my photo didn't turn out very well and I don't have time to redo it

Finally some Fabric Flowers

Here we are finally with some fabric flowers - I know I have been promising them for awhile but I wanted to wait until I had them finished before I blogged about them. These are the little guys that I have made into lovely little hair clips for girls that will be for sale at our Gallery Day next week. Less than one week to go and the big set up starts tomorrow morning at 8.30am. I am still nowhere near finished with all my goodies that I will have for sale but this lot means another lot down on the check list. Anyway no point moaning I just had better pull my big knickers up and get on with it (as the lovely Kath from Kath's Blog...Diary of an everyday crafter would say).

And of course I think you know me by now and know that I couldn't just make one or two - no Siree - I made 40 (which really means 80 - cause there are two in each pack) of the little buggars well actually I made way more than 40 - but my Mum has taken afew for my lovely great nieces. Ok well I'd better got this up and get back to the list again. x joy

A new twist on an old favourite

Hello and welcome to Friday - it's a hot one here today again, so nothing much else to do but sit in the craft room and craft in front of the fan (haha i wish - don't look at the ironing pile or the washing pile or the badly needing a vacume carpet). Well actually I am having to sit in the craft room as our Gallery Day is only one week away now so it is all systems go. We are starting the big set up on Sunday morning so ideally I would like everything that I am doing to be finished. So here is another of my little bits - I have made Reindeer Food for quite afew years now but this time I have gone to a bit of trouble and tizzed it up abit.

And then of course I can never just make a couple - I always go crazy and now I have 30 of them to sell. But as everything in my life goes - something had to go wrong as always hehehe - how annoying I only had 29 gold bells hehe so one had to get a bright shiny green bell - can you find it in the photo.

And finally - a very rare medical condition to show you LOL this is officially called "double sided tape backing paper removers finger" haha my poor finger - i have removed so much backing paper from the double sided tape that the nail has lifted away from my finger hehehe I wonder if hubby will give me some sympathy for it. Any way have a happy day x joy
p.s. and i will get those fabric flowers up next - i promise

Keeping out of mischief

Hello and happy Wednesday to you - I hope your day has been a good one. I have had a lovely day crafting then Lunch with a good friend, then a spot more crafting followed by after noon tea with another good friend hehehe life is tough isn't it ( i hope hubby doesn't notice  the fact that housework  has not been done hehe). But I have been very busy these last few days and finally I have a little look for you. I had promised a blog of my fabric flowers but i have been carried away doing these handy little things.
Bev one of the lovely Ladies at our papercrafting group turned up last time with one of these and asked if I could make up a pattern. Well I was impressed - I had seen them before but not close up - so out with the ruler and pen and paper scribble scribble scribble and here we go. I had thought I would make a couple for our Gallery Sales Day's as we are always looking for mens gifts and as usual I got carried away and made 23 of them LOL.
Funny thing is every time I make another line of things for Gallery Day my dear Mum (who is still visiting) decides that she wants some - so I end up having to make more than I planned hehe. She wants 5 of these :)
Just in case the photos don't explain they are a little bottle hanger for a bottle of wine with a pocket to place a nice block of chocolate. I have made quite a few with the words "relax, indulge, unwind, enjoy" on them - which I think makes the gift of a bottle of wine just that little bit nicer.
Ok well I will be back with the promised flowers x joy

AN APPLE A DAY

Hello and happy Sunday - it's a hot one here today, but nothing that a nice cold diet coke with ice won't fix. hehe
I have been playing with some apples today. I was asked to make some cards suitable for world Teachers Day on Friday for a couple of lovely Teachers here in Blackall. The first one was easy cause I had been thinking about this one for awhile and just hadn't got around to making one but the second made me think. I love it when I have to do that - it clears the cobwebs and gets you going. So what do you think?
I have used my sizzix apple die, some computer generated text and some papers from my stash. I have been trying to order some apple/teacher themed papers for ages but every time I get around to it, all the good ones are sold out. All the other bits and pieces where from my stash. I have done the insides the same just to keep the cards the same but different. The big apple is a template from My Scrap Chick that is an apple shaped card that I just modified. Ok well I now want to get onto my fabric flowers and some other goodies that I want to make for Gallery Day - soooooooo I had better go clear off my messy, messy desk cause it is soooooo bad I can't even see the desk tut tut :-)

Finally - I'm here

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!! What a busy little beaver I have been. Did anyone miss me? LOL
I have been busy busy busy making fabric flowers, more fabric flowers and even more fabric flowers. I  have been making them into hair clips, brooches and head bands for a fabulous event we have here in Blackall called Gallery Day. Which is our local Cultural Association's  major sales event for the year. I promise I will put up a post of my new flowers over the next few days but tonight I have to get this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge card up and out in the big wide world.

This week's Challenge is called "on the move" and I have used my Penny Black Bon Voyage!! Stamp. Again it's one of my favourites but by now you must know that I don't own any stamps that aren't "My Favourites" hehehe - I only buy stamps that I LOVE!!!!! I have teamed it up here with some Best Creations Paper and I have ended up happy with the results - very yellow - I am thinking  - but ok still. What do you think ? Any way better go get the pumpkins into bed - they have been at a little disco tonight so it's a bit late and they are dog tired. Have a happy day x joy

Hello happy Wednesday to you, here I am again with this weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge

I have coloured the image with water colour pencils along with some lovely Bo Bunny paper. And my handy dandy spellbinders of course. Ok I am off to get ready for our fun papercrafting days  this weekend now - I still have heaps to do, so I should stay out of mischief for awhile. Have a good day x joy

My Baby turns 9

oh dear - I am feeling very sad, my baby is growing up. I so wish that I could turn back the clock and enjoy him and his brother as babies just a little bit more. Where has the time gone??????? One minute they where tiny crying babies and the next they are turning 13 and 9. Benji had some friends around yesterday for a birthday afternoon tea and we all had so much fun. All four boys played pirates for hours on end. It was soooo lovely - not one mention of electronic games or any sign of bickering at all. They have continued the fun today by all meeting up today and getting right back into the game again. And now three of the four are having a sleep over and are lying back chillin' with a movie.

No card making going on today - apart from being a little exhausted, I had my market stall down town today and had a really good day. I had made a few cards yesterday while the boys where at school and I didn't get around to photographing them and guess what - they all sold today hehehe. So that was a missed blogging opportunity but anyway I will share a photo from yesterday of my baby and his prized birthday presents. Benji has always been fireman and fire engine mad (since he was a wee little thing) he has every type of fire truck that you could imagine. But nothing like this little beauty . . . . . .

He is so happy with it. It even shoots out water!!!! He liked all of his presents he tells me but this one is "so Cool". Can you see my puppy hiding his face up in the top left of the photo - he must be camera shy hehehe how cute hehehe any way have a good day x joy

LOTV Wedding Card

Hello and happy Wednesday to you, it's a tad over cast here in Blackall today but something exciting happens here today - hehehe my Mummy arrives for a visit. We are all very excited, Frankie is out mowing the lawn (which he insists isn't because my Mum is coming hehe but he hasn't been able to mow for a long time with his knee but today of all days is the day he is able to LOL) the boys have asked me about 5 000 000 times what time she arrives and I am madly cleaning the house (oh ok so you have sprung me - i know i shouldn't be making cards and blogging if I was soooooo busy cleaning but hey a girl has to have her fix hehe). I get to drive over to Barcaldine (one hour drive over) this afternoon to get her off of the train after her 20 hour marathon train ride. It is always so good to have her. She is coming for Benji's 9th Birthday on Friday (mental note to self - i must remember to make a card) then I think she is staying for about 4 weeks :).

Now on to cardy things -   Isn't this stamp just adorable  - ahhhhhhhh I here you say, just soooo cute!!!!!!! It is one of my Lili of the Valley Stamps. I was asked to make a wedding card for a lady here in town and I thought about the current challenge over at http://liliofthevalleythursdaychallenge.blogspot.com/ straight away - which is Button it. I had fun making it - I have a thing for pink and black at the moment. Anyway I will be back later to upload a few more cards that I have made for the markets this weekend so see you later x joy
